How the Grady County Court Calendar Works
For Grady County Superior Court, the best public calendar source is the South Georgia Judicial Circuit calendar index. It gathers links for civil hearing days, criminal hearing days, pretrials, trials, habeas matters, and WebEx sessions. A companion itinerary page organizes monthly and county PDFs. Helpful as these files are, they show when a category of work is set. They do not show every filing or every case in Superior, State, or a lower court.
Grady County also has several record keepers. The Clerk of Superior, State, and Juvenile Courts holds those court files. Magistrate and Probate Courts run their own offices. Cairo Municipal Court and Whigham Recorder's Court follow separate city routes. The court named on a summons, citation, filing receipt, or prior notice tells you which calendar to check. A circuit PDF setting should never be stretched to cover a municipal or State Court matter.
Grady County Circuit Calendar Index
The circuit index splits Grady County calendar publishing by type rather than offering one live searchable grid. Its categories cover civil and criminal hearing days, civil pretrial, civil trial, criminal trial, habeas, and WebEx. The official calendar index lists all of these on the circuit's site.
Read the county and setting label together. A criminal pretrial is not a trial date. A civil hearing day may cover motions rather than a final hearing. A WebEx label tells you the format only. So the case-specific notice stays the best source for connection instructions and appearance duties. One download is not enough if the date is weeks away. A replacement calendar may be posted.
Grady County Court Date Lookups
Begin with the notice the court sent you. It should name the court class and may carry a case or citation number. From there, use whichever channel fits the matter. The public circuit PDF works well for Superior Court settings. The Clerk's Court Calendars endpoint can fail with a database error, so a dead page means a call to the office, not a guess.
- Read the notice for the exact court, county, setting type, case number, and date.
- Check the circuit calendar index or county itinerary when the matter is in Superior Court.
- For a filed Superior, State, or Juvenile matter, call the Clerk at (229) 377-2912 or ask at 250 North Broad Street in Cairo.
- Contact State, Magistrate, Probate, Cairo Municipal, or Whigham Recorder's Court directly when that office holds the setting.
- Compare the latest published PDF with the most recent notice and confirm conflicts with the issuing court or counsel.
The Georgia E-Access directory and PeachCourt can route certain State and Superior matters. Both, however, lead to account-based access rather than a universal anonymous calendar. The courthouse posts no general public terminal or daily printed docket. So do not count on those channels. If you are at the courthouse, ask the correct clerk about current posting practices.
Grady County Itinerary PDFs
The circuit's court itinerary page posts monthly and county schedules. Its Grady County links add a broad planning layer on top of the category index, and that official route is what the page records.
One March 2026 itinerary lists county, date, day, a 9 a.m. courthouse block, civil hearings, criminal hearings, pretrials, WebEx work, grand jury, and civil or criminal trial labels. Those entries reveal the working rhythm of Grady County Superior Court. They do not prove a named case is still set. Calendars get revised, and not every case detail belongs in a public PDF.
Court Settings: What Each Field Means
Read a setting line as a group. A date without its court or setting type can send you to the wrong office. Grady County PDFs use broad hearing and trial labels, while a case notice may add a party name, case number, judge, or remote instructions. Treat the notice and the calendar as related sources.
| Date | The day assigned on the current calendar or case notice. |
|---|---|
| Time | The calendar may state a shared 9 a.m. courthouse block rather than a unique case time. |
| Courtroom | The location or courthouse named in the notice; confirm the room with the court. |
| Judge | The judicial officer or circuit assignment, which may be clearer on the case notice. |
| Setting Type | A civil hearing, criminal hearing, pretrial, trial, grand jury, habeas, or WebEx session. |
A hearing day is a block for matters placed before the court. A pretrial handles issues before trial. It is not itself proof that trial occurs that day. A term is a court session period. A bench trial goes to a judge rather than a jury. The court still controls what attendance and preparation a specific setting requires.
Grady County Calendar Is Not a Docket
A calendar answers when a type of court work is planned. A docket or case history tracks filings, orders, settings, and outcomes over time. A circuit PDF may show a Grady County hearing block. But it can hide the pleadings and the full sequence of entries. The reverse happens too. A case record can hold a new order or reset that a downloaded calendar copy does not yet show.
Quick distinction. Use the calendar to locate a setting, then use the Clerk or correct court office when the full case history or filed document is needed.
The Clerk's Icon Case Search route may greet you with a credential screen. The prefilled VIEWONLY text is not a public password. If account access is unavailable, call the record keeper. A blank or locked screen does not mean a Grady County case or setting fails to exist.
When a Court Date Moves
Docket entries describe changes in three ways. A reset hands the matter a fresh date. A continuance pushes it back by court order or approved action. A cancellation wipes the event off the calendar. Yet the case itself stays open until something else closes it. Often the first public hint of any shift is a replacement calendar. A new notice may come first. Why it happened rarely shows up on a public schedule.
Got two sources telling you different things? Call the office named on your case notice. For Superior, State, and Juvenile filing questions, start with Clerk Kaylee Page's office. The number is (229) 377-2912. State Court posts a separate number, (229) 762-4000. Magistrate Court answers at (229) 377-4132, and Probate at (229) 377-4621. Cairo and Whigham city matters belong with their city clerks. One county office cannot move or excuse a setting that a different court controls. So don't assume it can.
Grady County Civil Reporter Coverage
Here is a quirk of Grady County civil practice worth knowing. Per a South Georgia Judicial Circuit notice, starting September 1, 2025, no designated court reporter covers the circuit's monthly civil hearing dates. A party who wants a proceeding reported must bring in a reporter. That widens the gap between what the calendar says and what a transcript could ever prove.
A calendar entry shows a setting was published. It says nothing about the words spoken there. If a transcript might matter, review the circuit judges and staff contacts early. Confirm the current procedure well ahead of the hearing. Staff can walk you through logistics. Choosing a legal strategy is not their job.
Grady County Drug Court Calendar
The circuit keeps a separate South Georgia Accountability Court page with Grady County Drug Court calendar links plus program contacts. Its official access page appears here.

For an Accountability Court setting, rely on the program page. Rely on the latest case-specific notice too. The public page lists no universal eligibility rule, program term, or full participant docket. A label on an ordinary criminal calendar does not mean the person is enrolled. Ask the named program office or the right clerk for current setting details.
Missed Settings and What Comes Next
Missed a court date? Act fast. Call the issuing court, give the case or citation number, and ask what the record now shows. If you have a lawyer, notify counsel right away. A clerk can share status and process information, but cannot tell you whether to file a motion or how to handle a warrant, bond issue, default, or any other legal consequence.
Missed a setting? A missed Grady County date can lead to serious case-specific consequences, so confirm the current status with the court at once.
Do not rely on an old PDF or assume the matter was dismissed because no future date is visible.
A licensed Georgia attorney can advise on the right response to a missed appearance.
Grady County Calendar Technology
Grady County right now straddles several systems. The circuit puts out PDFs and WebEx labels. The Clerk's local menu points to Icon Case Management. Georgia E-Access, meanwhile, sends Grady State and Superior users toward PeachCourt account access. Georgia's wider case-management project launched a foundational release in late 2025. Its 2026 work is planned on search, reporting, calendaring, data migration, and court workflows.
Nothing official says Grady County has finished moving to the statewide platform. So search today through the systems each court actually names. Roadmaps about future technology are not proof of present access. For a case-specific lookup beyond the schedule, the county's Grady County docket search routes explain why the court class and custodian must come first.
If you plan around a PDF, note its date and source. Before driving to the courthouse, check it against the newest calendar link and the latest order or notice in the case. Grady County court offices can confirm scheduling facts. A clerk still cannot excuse an appearance or interpret what a setting requires. Keep counsel informed whenever the public calendar and a case-specific notice disagree. That quick check matters most when a calendar shows a shared morning block. It also matters for a term range or a remote-hearing label instead of a unique time for each matter.
